Carolyn Owen James Obituary
Carolyn Owen James, 74, widow of Frankie Joe James, passed away 26 days after her husband of 52 years, on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.
Mrs. James was born in Anderson County to the late Albert Cecil Owen and Mattie Ena Bowen Owen. She was a member of Refuge Baptist Church. Carolyn loved sweets, playing cards and taking care of her cats, but her greatest love was her family and being “Mimi”.
Surviving, are two daughters, Stacey Evans (Glenn) and Jennifer White; a brother, Steve Owen; a sister, Linda Cartee (Larry); seven grandchildren, Brian Thrift (Shannon), Brittney Thrift (Shay), Haley White, Colin White, Avery Eller, Glenn Evans and Anderea Evans; one great grandson, Jax Thrift and a son-in-law, Chad White.
