Obituary of Frances Owens

Frances Eugenia Owens, 87, of 4880 Greenpond Road, died June 13, 2023, at National Health Care Nursing Home in Clinton, SC. Born in Fountain Inn, she was the daughter of the late Furman Brodus “Pug” Owens and Elisa Kitura “Mama Tootie” Owens. She was retired from House of Fabrics in Mauldin, a member of Beulah Baptist Church, a teacher for the children’s Sunday School class for 36 years, and a member of the Lily Chapman Sunday School class. Surviving are a brother, Horace Owens (wife, Ann); one niece, Sherry Riddle (husband, Wayne); two nephews, Tony Owens (wife, Cindy) and Randall Owens (wife, Kym); five great nephews – Dustin Riddle, Austin Owens, Maddox Owens, Collin Owens (wife, Chloe), Brayden Owens; four great nieces – Robin Johnson (husband, Jay), Marisa Manley (husband, Kenny), Randi Whitaker (husband, Justin), and Emily Owens; three great, great nephews – Bryson Acker, Colby Acker, and Easton Whitaker and four great, great nieces – Alyssa Johnson, Alexia Johnson, Aleigha Johnson, and Marli Whitaker. Memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church Family Life Center, 1100 Greenpond Road, Fountain Inn, SC 29644. A Celebration of Frances’ Life will be Sunday, June 18, 2023, at 4 pm at Beulah Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
