Obituary of Bill Wilkerson

Richard Scott “Bill” Wilkerson, 76, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 29, 2023. Mr. Wilkerson was born in Sylacauga, AL to the late Rev. L.C. “Jack” Wilkerson and Billie Lee Gable Wilkerson. He was a member of Harmony Fellowship Church. Bill enjoyed fishing, slow-pitch softball, eating, and watching old Western movies. He was an Elvis Presley fan. Bill was an enthusiastic collector and trader of knives. Family and friends made sure that he received his lot of blades every year for Christmas. Surviving are his brother, Rev. Terry Wilkerson with wife Kathy; a nephew, Rev. Adam Wilkerson with wife Noel; two nieces, Dana Suttle with husband Rev. Matt, and Kayla Jefferson with husband Ricky; and nine great-nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be 11 o’clock Friday at Harmony Fellowship Church, officiated by Rev. Terry Wilkerson, Rev. Adam Wilkerson, and Rev. Matthew Suttle. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. A gravesite committal, officiated by Rev. Danny Smith and Rev. Chad Jordan, will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Harmony Fellowship Church, P.O. Box 286, Greer, SC 29652.
