Dear Chuck,, Renee, and all of Aunt Jackie's family throughout the land, Aunt Jackie exemplified love. Her love most of all that I will remember, is her love for Jesus Christ. The kindness that was shared from her heart is still living, Aunt Jackie shines brighter now in the Kingdom of Heaven with our Father God.
Queen Elizabeth once stated that "Grief is the price we pay for Love." May God comfort the hearts of those who grieve, and may we all send prayers up for blessings to come down.
Rest in infinite Love now Aunt Jackie. xo
Love, your Nephew Tom Caswell

So many memories she was so special to us. We would play cards and giggle and laugh we would talk for hours a about her childhood how she loved her dad so much she would wait to see him come up the driveway and run to his arms and he would pick her up and give her the biggest hug. She was a huge inspiration to me when I accepted the Lord Jesus we would talk for hours and she would get her Bible and read scripture to me she will be so missed ❤️ rest now in the arms of Jesus Jackie ♥️ ❤️

Ma told me this story many times over the years.
Her family lived for many years on a small farm on Ashe Swamp Road between New Market and Newfields. The neighboring farm was owned by Jack Sharkey, the former Heavy Champion of the World. Grampy Goodwin was a bit of a scrapper and they soon became fast friends. One day, Grampy went to the school to pick up his daughter Carolyn and saw her fighting with another girl in the schoolyard. From that day forward, Ma was called "Jackie."
Photo is of Ma and her brother David.

From the very beginning, Ma welcomed me as her daughter, and I have many fond memories with her. One of my favorites is when I was pregnant with Jake, who was due to be born around May 30th (Ma's birthday). She would say to me, "Wouldn't it be great if he was born on my birthday." Jake was born two days earlier on May 28th. Some years later, she and I were at the Laurens County Library doing some research. We were happy to discover that she and Jake were both born on a Saturday. Many times the family would celebrate both Ma's and Jake's birthday together. Rest in peace, Ma; I will always cherish our memories.

Ma lived a long and storied life. I have countless unforgettable memories of her going back to the 1950's and I'd like to share one here.
Back in the 1970's, Ma and I were going from her camp at Granny Kent, Maine to the nearby corner store. The snow was so deep (about 3 1/2 ft.) that we had to use snowmobiles. We were warming them up, when Ma said to me, "Oh, I forgot my pocketbook, I'll be right back." As she started to walk back, I looked and saw her pocketbook sitting on the edge of the camp roof. We laughed and laughed.
