Woodrow Wilson “Woody” Pressley, Jr., 83, husband of the late Essie Geneva “Genny” Knight Pressley, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 23, 2023.
Mr. Pressley was born in Fountain Inn to the late Woodrow Wilson Pressley, Sr. and Annie Mae Garrett Pressley. He retired from Cryovac. Woody was a huge sports fan and pulled for the Atlanta Braves and Clemson Tigers. He had the honor of being the first quarterback for Hillcrest High School football team. He enjoyed fishing - especially deep-sea fishing - and spending time at the lake. Woody loved music and was a good singer back in his day. He cherished family time and gathering on Sundays for lunch.
Surviving are a son, Mike Pressley; two daughters, Susan Pressley with husband Jeff, and Lisa Morabito; two sisters, Sharon Neeves with husband Albert, and Barbara Abercrombie; and two grandsons, Chance Pressley and Tyler Morabito.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service.
A Celebration of Woody’s Life will be 2 o’clock Friday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Burial will be in Graceland East Memorial Park
