Obituary of Michael "Mike" Brown, Sr.

Michael “Mike” Keith Brown, Sr., 68, husband to Beverly Tripp Brown for 45 years, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.

Mr. Brown was born in Spartanburg to the late Howard Joesph Brown and Daisy Lee Revels Brown.  He was a graduate of the Thoroughbred Driving School and worked for Benore Logistics.  Mike enjoyed fishing and collecting coffee cups and cast-iron pans.   He enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan.  He was a Ford Mustang enthusiast and was known to watch Barrett-Jackson Auto Auctions for hours.  Mike greatest joy was his family and being “Papa” to his grandchildren. 

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Michael Brown (Allison), and Josh Brown (Gianna); two daughters, Jenny Prince, and Starla Brown (Terrence); a brother, Jerry Brown (Nina); two sisters, Nett Crow (Rodney), and Christina Wood; nine grandchildren, Christian Anton, Brayden Brown, Landon Brown, Ronan Brown, Jaxson Brown, Trey Prince, Mason Brown, Kingston Prince, and Abagail Brown.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Dana Brown; two brothers, Larry Brown and Howard Brown; three sisters, Cathy Brown, Diane Hawkins, and Tammy Scmidt; and a grandson, Maddox Brown.

The family will receive friends between 5 – 7 o’clock Friday at Fletcher Funeral Service.

A Celebration of Mike’s Life will be 11 o’clock Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Service.  Burial will follow in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery.  The funeral escort will be led by Benore Logistics.
