Obituary of Penelope Green

Penelope Ruth “Penny” Green, widow of David Green, 80, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.

Mrs. Green was born in Greenville, SC to the late Charles Hicks Newman and Ruth Sorrel Newman. Penny was known for her spunky spirit and sense of humor. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed gatherings with friends and family.

Surviving are two sons, Danny King, Jr. and Jamie Lancaster with wife Maria; three grandchildren, Blake Lancaster, Karissa Jordahl, and Eddie Ukena; seven great-grandchildren, Amanda Good, Alexandra Good, Dillon Ukena, Sophia Ukena, Rylan Tyson, Brittany Ukena and Espn Ukena.  She was predeceased by a daughter, DeeDee Jordahl; a sister, Judy Hunter; and grandson, Bobby Ukena.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 o’clock Friday at Fletcher Funeral Service.
