Obituary of Gerald Reeves

Gerald Clarence Reeves, 84, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.

Mr. Reeves was born in Honea Path to the late Harold Davis Reeves and Sara Ellen Kirby Reeves.  He was a veteran of the US Army and retired from Woven Electronics.  He was a member of Columbia Baptist Church.  Gerald was a member of Preston Masonic Lodge #129 and a Past Master in 2010 and 2018.  He was a Greenville Valley Scottish Rite and past Venerable Master and currently serving as Tiler.  He was a Past High Priest, Past Illustrious Master, and Past Eminent Commander of the Laurens York Bodies.  Gerald was a HEJAZ Shriner and served as Captain of the photography unit.  He enjoyed photography and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Surviving are two sons, Don Reeves with wife Ginger, and Clay Reeves; a daughter, Diane Turner; and eight grandchildren, Dustin Anthony with wife Allie, Shealyn Abbott, Craig Reeves with wife Jess, Jacob Mattox with wife Catherine, Niki Holiday with husband Justin, Zach Reeves, Taylor Turner, Shaun Turner with wife Maddie.  He was predeceased by a grandson, Chris Reeves.

A Celebration of Gerald’s Life will be 2 o’clock Sunday at Columbia Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
