Obituary of Jerry Burke

Jerome Warren “Jerry” Burke, Sr., 84, husband of the late June Cauble Burke, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 11, 2023.

 

Mr. Burke was born in Chicago, IL to the late Wuanita Pearl Richardson.  He was a veteran of the US Air Force and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.  Jerry was a huge fan of Clemson Tigers Football and watching Gunsmoke and western cowboy movies.  He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and playing golf.  He was a gospel music fan and enjoyed trips to Dollywood and Pigeon Forge. 

 

Surviving are three sons, Jerry Burke, Jr. with wife Heather, Kevin Burke with wife Angie, and Tim Brown with wife Jennifer; and seven grandchildren, Michael Burke, Sarah Burke, Laney Burke, Lila Burke, Lily Burke, Ramsey Goff and Ryleigh Goff.  He was predeceased by his first wife, Charlene Turner Burke.

 

The family will receive friends between 1 – 2 o’clock Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Service in Fountain Inn.

 

Graveside services will be 3 o’clock Sunday at Rosemont Cemetery in Clinton. 

 

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
