Obituary of Gary Holley

Gary Lee Holley, 72, husband of the late Nancy Starr Holley, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

Mr. Holley was born in Indianapolis, IN to the late Olivery Harold Holley and Katherine Louise Warren Holley.  He retired from General Electric in 2009.  Gary enjoyed fishing and working on classic cars.

Surviving are two sons, Matt Holley with wife Mary, and Michael Slevin; a daughter, Tammy Gooch with husband Bradley; five sisters, Janet Maxwell, Shirley Perry, Rita Ayers, Sharon Cook, and Diana Cox; and two granddaughters, Claudia and Jessi.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Harold Holley and Robert Holley.

A Celebration of Gary’s Life will be 1 o’clock Tuesday at Fletcher Funeral Service.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.  Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
