Obituary of Michael Vickery
Richard Michael Lee Vickery, 22, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023, from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.
Mr. Vickery was born in Greenville to Jason Mack Vickery and Beverly Lynn McGlohon Abercrombie. He worked as a carpenter for Custom Construction and enjoyed his vocation. Michael lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed fishing, throwing frisbee with his faithful dog Darla, and hanging with friends at a good bonfire. He was proud to have just gotten a new boat. Michael collected ball caps and loved all types of music.
Surviving, in addition to his father and mother, are six brothers, Toby Vickery with wife Breanna, Noah Abercrombie, Tori Abercrombie, Nick Blevins, Shawn Vickery, and Chris Zito; a sister, Carley Pitts with husband Travis; paternal grandfather, Rick Vickery with wife Sheila; paternal grandmother, Camilla Graham; paternal great-grandmother, Connie Hughes; maternal grandmother, Maggie Peace with husband Joey, maternal great-grandfather, Ed Hudson; and step-mother, Nikki Vickery. He was predeceased by his step-father, Marty Abercrombie.
A Celebration of Michael’s Life will be 4 o’clock Wednesday at Fletcher Funeral Service. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be private in Cannon Memorial Park.
