Obituary of Ronnie Styles

Please share a memory of Ronnie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Ronald Belton “Ronnie” Styles, 74, husband of Andrea Dianne Cox Styles for 55 years, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 10, 2023.

Mr. Styles was born in Greenville to the late Willie Bunyon “Billy” Styles and Helen Louise Mahaffey Styles.  He was a Charter Member of Five Forks Baptist Church where he was a former deacon and served as chairman of the Building & Grounds Committee through two major building projects.  Ronnie was a 1967 graduate of Hillcrest High School and attended Greenville Technical College.  He worked many years at J.D. Hollingsworth on Wheels before retiring from Guardsmark Security.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, stationed in Korea.  Ronnie enjoyed rabbit hunting, fishing, and raising beagles and he was a collector of hats.  His greatest joy came in being Papa to his grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Todd Styles; a daughter, Tina Miller with husband Rusty; a sister, Dianne Wallace; three grandchildren, Slade Styles, Maria Miller and Walker Styles; and a cherished caregiver, Lynn Carlton.

Visitation will be 5 – 7 o’clock Monday at Fletcher Funeral Service.

A Celebration of Ronnie’s Life will be 3 o’clock Tuesday at Five Forks Baptist Church.  Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Five Forks Baptist Church, 112 Batesville Road, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
