Obituary of Ruby Lunsford

Ruby Tucker Lunsford, 81, wife of Fred Eugene Lunsford for 62 years, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 23, 2023.

Mrs. Lunsford was born in Union to the late James Walker Tucker and Evelyn Boulware Tucker. She was a member of Fountain Inn Church of God. Ruby loved people and never met a stranger. She enjoyed bluegrass music - especially when Fred played it. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandma and took great pride in her family and home.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Vicki McGee with husband Cary; two brothers, Roy Tucker and Eugene Tucker with wife Hannelore; six grandchildren, Jerry Rector with wife Crystal, Shane Rector, Bryon Lunsford with wife Lauren, Tori Tamburro with husband Jake, Dena Leake with husband Andrew and Kari McGee; and seven great-grandchildren, Blakely Lunsford, Harley Rector, Andrew Leake, Sloan Lunsford, Lydia Leake, Noah Leake, and Davis Lunsford.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Judy O’Banion; and a great-grandchild, Mills Lunsford.

A Celebration of Ruby’s Life will be 4 o’clock Tuesday at Fletcher Funeral Service.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
