Obituary of Mary Ann Gregg

Mary Ann Smith Gregg, 80, widow of Harold Edward Gregg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 26, 2023.

Mrs. Gregg was born in Cherokee County, SC to the late Johnny Marvin Smith and Clara Mae Inman Smith.  She was a member of Full Salvation Church of the Living God.  Mary Ann was an active participant in church activities and was known as a prayer warrior.  She enjoyed singing, cooking, and baking cakes for family and friends.  She was a caretaker by nature and cherished being Grandma to her grandchildren.

Surviving are a son, Daniel Gregg; a daughter, Kim Riddle; a brother, Joe Smith; two sisters, Frances Mullinax and Doris Smith; three grandchildren, Peyton Riddle, Ethan Riddle, and Collins Riddle; a nephew, Charlie Ray Kirby with wife Sue; two great-nieces, Lisa Kirby and Tammy Kirby; a special friend, Kathy Pridmore; and a beloved dog “Aden”.  She was predeceased by a son, Brian Gregg; a daughter, Tina Gregg; a brother, John Smith; and three sisters, Claddus Padgett, Rozelle Eaves, and Elizabeth Hammett.

A Celebration of Mary Ann’s Life will be 4:30 p.m. Friday at Full Salvation Church of the Living God (920 S River Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307).  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
