Obituary of Bobby Lamb

Bobby James Lamb, 76, husband of Gloria Jean Thompson Lamb for 60 years, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 10, 2023.

Mr. Lamb was born in Laurens to the late William Jackson Lamb, Sr. and Elizabeth Cornelia Butler Lamb.  He was a member of Highway of Holiness Church.  Bobby was a consummate carpenter and the founder of Lamb’s Construction.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and trips to the mountains.  One of his most prized possessions was his collection of John Wayne memorabilia. 

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Jimmy Lamb with wife Tracy, and Lucas Lamb with wife Chelsea; a sister, Diane Ingle; three grandchildren, Kensley Lamb, Aneska Lamb, and Robert Spoone; and four great-grandchildren, Will, Travis, Bella, and Esther.  He was predeceased by a son, Tony Lamb; and a granddaughter, Amber Lamb. 

The family will receive friends at the home of Jimmy and Tracy Lamb, 335 Cinnamon Lane in Laurens.

A Celebration of Bobby’s Life will be 1 o’clock Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service.  Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
