Obituary of Sherman Chamblin Pharr, Jr.

Sherman Chamblin Pharr, Jr., 77, husband of Betty Smith Pharr, died, Wednesday, May 3, 2017.  He was surrounded by his loving family at his side.  
 
Mr. Pharr was born in Coffeeville, MS to the late Sherman C. Pharr, Sr. and Nellie Copeland Pharr.  
 
Mr. Pharr graduated from LeTourneau College with a degree in Industrial Engineering.  He began his career with Union Carbide, and retired from KEMET Electronics after 40 years of service.
 
In addition, to his wife of 53 years, surviving family members, a daughter, Candace Hope Lienau and husband,Christopher; a son, Sherman Chamblin. Pharr III and wife Victoria;  three grandchildren, Corbin Christopher and Addison Faith Lienau and Lucas Sherman Pharr and three sisters, Louise Hall, Mert Williams, and Peggy Mackey.  He was predeceased by a grandchild, Collin Chamberlain Lienau.

The family will celebrate his life and receive friends Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 1-3pm at Fletcher Funeral Service located at 1218 N Main St, Fountain Inn, SC 29644.
