Obituary of Dale Hawkins

Bobbie Dale Woods Hawkins, 72, widow of Larry Joe Hawkins, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 1, 2024.

Mrs. Hawkins was born in Greenville to the late Bobby Lang Woods and Rachel Joyce Taylor Woods.  She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.  Dale enjoyed music and singing – even playing the guitar and recording her own record “Please Blessed Jesus”.  She was a fan of Elvis and enjoyed a good meal with her family.  Dale was a helper by nature.  She cherished being a Nana to her grandchildren and loved camping trips and family vacations. 

Surviving are two daughters, Ami Hawkins, and Julie Cordova with husband Jared; a brother, Dana Woods; a sister, Debbie Templeton with husband Jerry; five grandchildren, Sydney Jones with husband Fendley, Emma Pulley with husband Colin, Carolina Cordova, Chloe Cordova, and Charleigh Cordova.  She was predeceased by a brother, Danny Woods. 

Visitation will be 4 – 6 o’clock Friday at Fletcher Funeral Service.

A Celebration of Dale’s Life will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Cannon Memorial Park.
