Obituary of Billie Buchanan

Billie Raye Stilwell Buchanan, 84, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 26, 2023.

Ms. Buchanan was born in Greenville to the late Harold Kemper Stilwell and Willie Mae Bullington Stilwell.  She was a graduate of the Greenville General Hospital School of Nursing and retired as a CNP from the S.C. Department of Health.  Billie enjoyed singing, shag dancing and gardening.  She was a caretaker by nature and always helped others when she could.  Billie was a huge Atlanta Braves fan and a collector of Boyds Bears.

Surviving are a son, Paul Taylor with wife Karen; a daughter, Karen Taylor; a brother, Sam Stilwell with wife Robin; three granddaughters, Megan Brown with husband Justin, Lauren Hanley with husband Shane Pitts, and Gracyn Willis with husband Reeves; and five great-grandchildren, Evan, Emma, Vivian, Marlowe and Easton.  She was predeceased by a sister, Joan George.

A Celebration of Billie’s Life will be held at a later date.
