Obituary of Clara Ruhl

Clara Belle Smith Ruhl, 89, widow of James Edward “Jim” Ruhl, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 27, 2023.

Mrs. Ruhl was born in Pleasant View, KY to the late Claude Hazelwood Smith and Nora Irene Gibson.  Clara was a caretaker by nature and a sweet spirit.  She and Jim traveled the world together and lived life to its fullest.  She enjoyed music, dancing, and playing cards with friends.

Surviving are two sons, Michael Ruhl with wife Lori, and Christopher Ruhl; a daughter-in-law, Celeste Ruhl; a brother, Lloyd Smith; a sister Iva Gentry; and four grandchildren, Brian Ruhl, Stephen Ruhl, Courtney Ruhl and Nathan Ruhl.  She was predeceased by a son, David Ruhl; a brother, Bill Smith; and a sister, Shirley Partin.

Clara will be reunited with Jim at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
