Obituary of Fredda Greene

Please share a memory of Fredda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Fredda Lynn Rumfelt Greene, 63, wife of David Keith Greene for 40 years, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 15, 2024.

Mrs. Greene was born in Simpsonville to the late John Douglas Rumfelt, Sr. and Mary Alice Leake Rumfelt.  She was an active member of Hillside Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School and Bible School teacher.  Fredda Lynn worked as a Client Services Manager with Spectrum Communications for 30 years.  She was a huge USC Gamecock fan and enjoyed a good day of shopping – particularly at Ross.  She loved to travel anywhere and especially enjoyed her time at the lake with friends and family and her dogs.  Fredda never met a stranger – she had a big heart and enjoyed helping others.  Her greatest joy was being “Granni” to her grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three daughters, Kelli Freeman, Kendel Duckworth with husband Kevin, and Katelyn Greene; three brothers, Charles Rumfelt with wife Debra, Dan Hunt with wife Jennifer, and Tim Hunt; a step-mother, Rachel Hunt; and seven grandchildren, Kameron Duckworth, Gabriel Freeman, Kaleb Duckworth, Kaden Greene, Michael Freeman, Laurel Freeman and Kody Duckworth.  She was predeceased by a brother, Johnny Rumfelt, Jr.

A Celebration of Fredda’s Life will be 12 noon Monday at Hillside Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association - National Direct Response, PO Box 756, Osceola WI 54020-0756.
