Obituary of Joyce Williams
Joyce Mary Sue Garrett Williams, 90, widow of Charles Parker Williams, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.
Mrs. Williams was born in Conestee to the late Walter Dean Garrett and Lou Ellen Opal Terry Garrett. She was a member of Five Forks Baptist Church. She worked many years at J.C. Penny. Joyce enjoyed yardwork, gardening and shopping. She spent untold hours crocheting Afghans for people in need. Her greatest joy was being Mama to her beloved grandchildren.
Surviving are a daughter, Paige Parker with husband Robert; a son-in-law, Rick Lowery; four grandchildren, Mandy Lowery, David Lowery with wife Kristi, Ellen Graff with husband Chris, and Will Parker with wife Anna; and eight great-grandchildren, Jordan, McKenna, Chase, Grayson, Jackson, Kayden, Wilburn and Wes. She was predeceased by a daughter, Pam Lowery; a brother, Popeye Garrett; and two sisters, Ellen Putman and Bobbie Crisp.
A Graveside Service will be 2 o’clock Sunday at Five Forks Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
