Curtis Edward “C.E.” Howard, 79, husband of the late Betty Ann Crenshaw Howard for 37 years, passed away on Sunday, March 3rd, 2024 surrounded by his family.
Mr. Howard was born in Greenville County to the late Perry Albert Howard and Beulah Mae Pennington Howard. He was a member of Clear Spring Baptist Church. C.E. was retired from Bayne Machinery. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. C.E’s greatest joy was being Papa to his granddaughter Kadi.
C.E was predeceased by his wife Betty; and a brother, Joe P. Howard. Surviving are his three sisters Shirley Berry, Evelyn Knight with husband C.M., and Dianne Hamby. He was also a beloved ‘Uncle C’ to many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of C.E.’s Life will be 12 noon Wednesday at Clear Spring Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
