David "Bubba" Pennington Obituary

David Larkin “Bubba” Pennington, 56, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 9, 2024.




Mr. Pennington was born in Fountain Inn to Kathleen Shaver Ivey and the late Jimmy Ivey. He loved hunting and fishing and auto racing. Bubba had a big heart and was always willing to help when he could. He had a lifelong love of music that spanned many genres – rap, blue-grass, blues and southern rock.




Surviving, in addition to his mother, are two brothers, Joe-Joe Pennington with companion Beth, and Jamie Ivey with wife April; three nieces that were like daughters to him, Audriana Lane with husband Jesse, Alexus Pennington with husband Eric Brown, and Kourtney Pennington with fiancé Michael Barbare; and other nieces and nephews, Allison Ivey, Makenzie Clayton, Austin Mobley, Chris Hawthorne and great nieces and nephews, Erica, Noah and Aubri.




A gathering of family and friends will be 4 – 6 o’clock Wednesday at Fletcher Funeral Service.
