Thomas Hartwell Tolbert, 86, husband of the late Iris Clayton Tolbert, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 23, 2024.
Mr. Tolbert was born in Simpsonville to the late Thomas Brantley Tolbert and Kathryn Terry Tolbert. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Temple Baptist Church. Thomas retired from Kemet Electronics. He enjoyed bass fishing competing in tournaments for many years. He also enjoyed golf and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Surviving is a sister, Lorraine Owens Foster; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Albert Tolbert; a sister, Mary Hicks Curd; three brothers-in-law; and one sister-in-law.
Funeral services will be 3 o’clock Wednesday at Fletcher Funeral Service. The family will receive friends an hour prior. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Cannon Byrd Memorial Park.
