Larry Melvin Saxon, 69, husband for 46 years to Peggy Saxon, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017.

 

Larry was born in Greenville to the late LM Saxon and Daisy Burns Saxon. He was a US Navy veteran and was a member of Roper Mountain Baptist Church.

He enjoyed gardening and growing tomatoes.

 

Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Hope Saxon; mother in-law, Helen Wilson; brother, James Saxon; sister, Diane Shealy. The family would like to thank the Wilson Family, who loved and supported him during these difficult times.

 

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Roper Mountain Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Ron Lewis. Family will receive friends from 12:30-2pm.

Burial with military honors will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

 

Memorials may be made to Roper Mountain Baptist Church, 300 Roper Mountain Road Ext. Greenville SC 29615.
