Obituary of Sherry Ford

Sherry Jane Eskew Ford, 72, wife of Rev. William Michael “Mike” Ford for 54 years, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 10, 2024.

Mrs. Ford was born in Pelzer, SC to the late William Clarence “Bill” Eskew and Mary Orene Thompson Eskew.  She was a member of Calhoun Falls Church of God of Prophecy.  Sherry was a devoted supporter of her husband’s ministry and served as the church pianist during his pastorate throughout their marriage.  She enjoyed music and sharing uplifting messages with family and friends through social media; however, her greatest joy came in being “Nana” to her grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Teresa Norton with husband Kevin; three grandchildren, Kevin Norton, Jr., Mitchell Norton with wife Brittany, and Jared Norton; and two great-grandsons, Sammy and Dexter.  She was predeceased by a son, Darren Ford; and a daughter, Jill Ford.

A Celebration of Sherry’s Life will be 2 o’clock Saturday, May 18th, 2024 at Fletcher Funeral Service.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.  Burial will be 3 o’clock Monday, May 20th, 2024 at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
