The first thing I ever heard said about Jim was from my coworker who lived nearby, who said "he is a genius." After meeting him and seeing his work and skill and accomplishments, I had to agree. Later, I wanted my two kids to meet him and see what can be possible. He took them in his shop and showed them around, and spent about 5 minutes cutting a circle of aluminum and making it into a bowl. They were impressed, as was I; we still have the bowl. We've lost a true talent and a kind and generous man.
