Maurice Edward “Moose” Head, Sr., 76, husband of the late Sharon June Moser Head, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 10, 2024.

Mr. Head was born in Laurens to the late Armond Eugene Head, Sr. and Gertrude Ozelle Epps Head.  With his wife Sharon, he co-owned and operated Maurice’s Café, H&M Auto Sales, and the Eagles Nest. Maurice and Sharon loved music and shag-dancing. He enjoyed swimming and skiing at the lake, singing Karaoke, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.  He loved golf and loved to play baseball and fish in his younger days.  He was also a collector of knives. 

Surviving are a son, Maurice “Reece” Head, Jr.; three daughters, Malynda Salas, Dawn Jenkins, and Michelle Sabatelli; two brothers, Ronnie Head with wife Leslie, and Armond Head, Jr. with wife Tammy; eight grandchildren, Andrew Lowry with wife Victoria, Taylor Jenkins, Ciairra Williams, Jordan Jenkins, Jeremy Williams, Morgan Tucker with husband Corey, Sydney Pace, and Jacob Head; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers, Robert Head, Larry Head and Gene “Frog” Head; and two sisters, Brenda Hoover and Sandra Head.

A Celebration of Maurice’s Life will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday, July 20th, at Living Sanctuary Church (201 Piedmont Road, Piedmont SC 29673).
