Obituary of Dorothy "Dottie" Knight

Dorothy “Dottie” Moore Knight, 72, wife of David Earl Knight for 55 years, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 12, 2024.

Mrs. Knight was born in Woodruff to the late Grover Cleveland Moore and Doris Alexander Moore.  She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and worked as a lead operator at 3M for many years.

Dottie’s life was filled with adventure and joy, often found in the great outdoors. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and long days on the lake. Dottie shared her love for travel and adventure with her dear husband, David. She had a unique and cherished hobby of collecting wind chimes and rolling pins. Her home was filled with these beautiful pieces, each one special to her.

Above all, Dottie was a loving Granny who adored her grandchildren and enjoyed every moment she had with them. Her spirit and enthusiasm for life will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Kim King with husband Jim, Janet Johnson with her husband Robert; a brother, Samuel Moore with wife Peggy; three grandchildren, Madison King, Olivia Johnson with her husband Tyler, Hunter Johnson; and a great- grandchild, Aurora Johnson. She was predeceased by her grandson Brandon Johnson.
