Obituary of Ronnie Mostella

James Ronald “Ronnie Mostella, 88, husband to Joann Sloan Mostella for 67 years, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 16, 2024.

 

Mr. Mostella was born in Simpsonville to the late Edmond Mostella and Willie Nelson Mostella.  He was a veteran of the US Air Force and retired from Cryovac- Simpsonville.  Ronnie was a member of Unity Baptist Church and former deacon.  He was devoted to the Word of God and read his Bible daily.  He enjoyed gardening and rabbit hunting. Ronnie had the heart of a servant, and used his carpentry skills to help his fellow neighbor.

 

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his son, Greg Mostella (Anita); a daughter, Karen Finch (Terry); two daughters-in-law, Becky Mostella and Ann Mostella; a sister, Arlene Massey; ten grandchildren, Alicia McCannon (Bobby), Joey Mostyn, Heather Mostella, Kyle Mostella, Asheley Thrift (Chris), Rusty Finch (Tarra), Tyler Calvert (Chase), Jacob Mostella, Rebecca Gomez, and Chris McConnell (Genovena); seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.  He was predeceased by two sons, Stanley Mostella and Ronald Mostella; and a sister, Mary Potter.

 

Funeral services will be 1 o’clock Wednesday at Fletcher Funeral Service.  The family will receive friends an hour prior.  Burial, with Military Honors, will be in Graceland East Memorial Park.
