Jackie McFarland Obituary

Jacqueline Rae Hendrix “Jackie” McFarland, widow of Claudy Ray McFarland, Jr., went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 10, 2024.


Mrs. McFarland was born in Lamar to the late Edward Hendrix and Elma Hudson Hendrix. She was a member of Fountain Inn First Baptist Church.


She is survived by nieces and a nephew to include her caregiver, Frances Larymore.


Jackie loved Jesus, her family, her church family and her Sunday School class. She greatly missed her husband Ray who passed in 2012. Jackie and her husband were noted for their gift of cooking and serving their church family as well as their neighborhood families. Jackie’s many activities included fishing, shopping, watching sports of all kinds and she loved History.


She was predeceased by a brother, Edward “Bud” Hendrix and two sisters, Nell Amerson and Margaret “Jim” Summers.


Funeral Services will be 11 o’clock Friday at Fletcher Funeral Service. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be private.
