Mollie Frances Rodgers Laakkonen, 102, widow of John Henry Laakkonen, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
Mrs. Laakkonen was born in Fountain Inn to the late William Duard Rodgers and Lula Templeton Rodgers. She was a member of Woodruff Road Presbyterian Church. Frances enjoyed talking on the phone, working in a garden every year and going to family reunions. Her greatest love was being Grandma to her grandchildren.
Surviving, are a son, Billy Laakkonen; a daughter, Caroline Thomas (Johnny); five grandchildren, Clay Thomas (Crystral), Hillary Thomas, Hayley Bennett (Jason), Megan Wrenn (Justin) and Seth Laakkonen and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by four brothers, Dee Rodgers, Ralph Rodgers, Harry Rodgers and Deward Rodgers and four sisters, Yonnie Terry, Mary Terry, Marg Neff and Catherine Weathers.
Funeral Services will be private.
