Thalia Sue Duncan McFarland, 87, widow of Joseph Philip McFarland, Sr., went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
Mrs. McFarland was born in Pickens to the late Harvey Jordan Duncan and Lottie Mae Shipman. She was a member of Antioch Christian Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and her and her daughter, Ann, sang in church together. She enjoyed working in the yard, reading, collecting wolf figurines and fishing in the Chesapeake Bay.
Surviving, are three sons, Bryon Fowler Joseph McFarland, Shane McFarland; two daughters, Teresa Moore (Barry) and Susan Moore (Steve); a brother, Harry Duncan; fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Raymond “Randy” Fowler, Jr.; a daughter, Ann Marie Friddle; a brother, Harvey Duncan and four sisters, Mary Brown, Elizabeth McCuen, Martha Sexton and Marie Duncan.
The family will receive friends 5-7pm on Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Service.
Funeral Services will be 12 o’clock Monday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Antioch Christian Church.
