Doris Franklin Obituary

Doris Harris Franklin, 98, widow of John Junior Franklin, went to be with the Lord, Friday, September 20, 2024.


Mrs. Franklin was born in Pauline to the late Hobson Harris and Pearl Adair Harris. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Doris retired from the US Postal Service and was a seamstress. She was a wonderful Mother and MeMe who loved her children and grandchildren.


Surviving, are a son, Chris Franklin (Karen); two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Hanley (Roger) and Bebe Gideon (Danny); six grandchildren, Jamie Lambert, Kacie Lambert, Danielle Johnson, Kayla Collins (Nathan), Ashton Franklin (Tiffany) and Alana Hughes (Molly) and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Leesa Lambert; two grandchildren, John David Lambert and Michelle Franklin; four brothers and five sisters.


Graveside Services will be 3 o’clock Monday at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
