John Franklin “Punk” Perry, 92, widower of Reba Gertrude “Trudie” Shirley, went to be with the Lord, Monday, October 28, 2024.

Mr. Perry was born in Cateechee to the late Fred Archie Perry and Ida Anvalee Alexander Perry. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Woodruff and was a retired veteran of the US Air Force. Punk loved playing golf and baseball and the Clemson Tigers, but his greatest love was being a father and grandfather.

Surviving, are a son, Keith Perry (Frances); a sister, Anvalee King (Horace); two grandchildren, Jon Perry (Sherry) and Austin Perry (Melissa); six great-grandchildren, Shaylynn Perry, Drake Perry, Samantha Perry, Avery Norwood, Madison Norwood and Kaitlyn Bowers (Josh) and seven great-great-grandchildren, Rosalyn Perry, Taylor Bowers, Rachel Bowers, Brody Bowers, Delilah Norwood, Drea Norwood and Sarah Bowers. He was predeceased by a daughter, Fredda Monroe; two brothers, Charles Perry and Donald Perry and a sister, Sarah Tezbir.

A Celebration of Punk’s Life will be 3 o’clock Monday at Fletcher Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
