Doris Griswold Obituary
Doris Annie Kate Owens Griswold, 80, wife of Winston Churchill Griswold for 36 years, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
Mrs. Griswold was born in Anderson to the late Isaac Pinckney “I.P.” Owens and Lillie Mae Pressley Owens. She was a graduate of the Greenville Technical College Nursing Program and retired as a RN with the SC Department of Health and Human Services. Doris was a member of Bessie Road Baptist Church and the Red Hat Society. She loved traveling and was an avid collector of dolls. She also enjoyed gardening.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Jimmy Coe; a daughter, Nancy Coe; a stepson, Jeff Griswold; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Debbie Stegall; and a great-grandson.
Graveside services will be private.
