Obituary of Patrick Blair

Please share a memory of Patrick to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Patrick “Pat” John Blair, 67, husband to Jean Klausner Blair for 34

years passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024. Pat defeated cancer

but was taken away after years of battling pancreatitis.

Pat was born in Minneapolis, MN to the late Thomas Edmond Blair

and Yoshiko Ashida Blair. He attended Essex Junction High School

and graduated with a Math degree from University of Vermont. He

had quite a remarkable and varied work life — IT Fortran coder;

Telecomm Specialist; 3rd grade Teacher and finally a Golf club

Maker into retirement. He provided Jean extraordinary support in

her career and was her biggest cheerleader. He had so many

passions — animals, movies, reading, motorcycles, golf, music, guitars,

KC Chiefs, and house projects. In Pat’s Facebook “details” he

describes himself as “worked at playing crappy guitar and riding

motorcycles like a geezer”. Pat was meticulous with all his toys

and tools and could repair almost anything. He had a couple years

of turning into “PoPo” with the addition of the amazing little

Josephine Kirkpatrick into the family. He will probably be most

remembered for his vibrant personality, sense of humor and

wonderful laugh but also for being the Best Brother, Best Husband

and Best StepDad.

Surviving, in addition to his wife are a stepson, Zachary Kirkpatrick

(Acadia), Granddaughter Josephine, brother Michael Blair (Lisa); two

brothers-in-law, Bob Seibert and Paul Altnether; and sister-in-law

Janice Palmisano (Bill). He was predeceased by his sister Jacqueline

Seibert and his parents.

A Celebration of Pat’s life will be held at Jean’s home after the New

Year.
