Donald Barry Hudson I, 63, husband of the late Lisa Renee Heil, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 4, 2024.

Mr. Hudson was born in Greenville to the late Posey Stewart Hudson and Pearl Azalee Carlton Hudson. Don was raised by his mother and step-father – the late Pearl and Philip “Phil” Mauk. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Don was an avid fan of wrestling, the Dallas Cowboys and the Atlanta Braves. He was a collector of lighters and hats. His greatest joy was being PaPa Don to his grandchildren.

Surviving are six sons, Barry Hudson II, Chris Hudson with wife Suzanne, Brad Hudson with wife Amber, Cody Hudson, Jody Hudson with wife Ashley, and Chris Ellison; two brothers, Mike Hudson and Scott Hudson; two sisters, Kathy Hinton and Tracy Riner; and thirteen grandchildren, Jade, Hannah, Tara, Natalie, Jo-Jo, Lexi, Bradley, Jayden, Tyler, Brayden, Bentlee, Bella and Zachary. He was predeceased by a sister, Karen George.

Visitation will be 5 – 7 pm Friday at Fletcher Funeral Service.

A Celebration of Don’s Life will be 10 o’clock Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Westview Memorial Park.

The family will be at the home of Brad and Amber Hudson, 5202 Fairview Road in Gray Court.
