Obituary of Jerry Wood

Jerry Dee Wood, 79, husband of Judy Duckett Wood, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.  Born in Clarkesville, GA, he was a son of the late J. Weldon and Louise Allen Wood.

Jerry entered the Army after graduating high school.  After serving his country, he began a career in the telecommunication industry.  Jerry enjoyed the outdoors.  He spent time hunting and fishing, but loved raising and riding horses.  When not outside, Jerry loved to play his guitar.

In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by his son, Kevin Wood; and a sister Peggy Stiner.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Garry Wood; and a sister Janice Seagraves.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4334 Walnut Grove Road, Roebuck, SC, beginning at 3:00 pm.
