Karen Elaine Hendley, 62, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 12, 2024.

Ms. Hendley was born in Asheville, NC to the late Lawrence Ray Hendley and Ila Beatrice Slagle Hendley. She was a graduate of McDowell Community College and retired from Collins & Aikman. Karen enjoyed watching movies, reading and photography. She was a mountain girl at heart and loved her trips home. Karen cherished written correspondence and was known for sending cards to everyone she knew. She looked forward to receiving cards and letters from family and friends.

Surviving are a sister, Lynn Teague with husband David; a niece, Amber Travis; and a great-nephew, Andrew Travis.

A Celebration of Karen’s Life will begin at 2 o’clock Sunday in the chapel of Fletcher Funeral Service – Woodruff. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Unity Baptist Church Cemetery.
