Pete Davenport Obituary

Allen Duwayne “Pete” Davenport, 63, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 24, 2024.

Mr. Davenport was born in Laurens to the late Tony Lamar Davenport and Brenda Joyce Staton Davenport. He loved dirt-track racing and yelling at his brother Randy to “go faster!” Pete enjoyed fishing, riding four-wheelers, watching western movies and Christmas cartoons. One of his favorite pastimes was watching Atlanta Braves baseball with his mother.

Pete was never married and had no children of his own, but his child-like nature and contagious laugh kept everyone entertained. His maternal grandmother Pauline Staton was his favorite person in this world. He cherished time with her.

Surviving are two sisters, Shirley Stipanovic with husband Joe, and Tammy Davenport; two sisters-in-law, Laura Davenport and Felicia Davenport; and two special aunts, Ann Staton and Sandy Staton. He was predeceased by two brothers, Donnie Davenport and Randy Davenport.

A visitation will be held between 2 - 4 o'clock Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Service.
