Obituary of Homer Jackson "Jack" Capps, Jr.
Homer Jackson (Jack) Capps, Jr., husband of Thursa Hawkins Capps of 64 years, passed away in the home on September 16, 2017 surrounded by family and friends.
Mr. Capps was born in Easley to the late Homer Jackson Capps, Sr. and Minnie Mull Capps. He was employed by Johnson Motor lines for 29 years and retired from Standard Trucking. He was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church for 63 years, serving on many different committees.
Surviving, in addition to his wife are two sons, Eddie Capps (Christi) and Scott Capps (Rhonda); four grandchildren, Ross Capps (Kristen), Ashton Capps (Ryan), Brian Capps and Chris Terry; a great-grandson, Xander; a loving sister-in-law, Catherine H. Bayne and a special niece and care taker, Wanda Bayne. He was predeceased by a brother, Bill Capps.
Funeral services will be 4pm Tuesday at Cross Roads Baptist Church, 705 Anderson Ridge Road, Greer S.C. 29651. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
