Reverend Boyd V Broad Sr. entered into the church triumphant on December 29, 2017. He retired from the ministry having served 27 years as pastor of Wando Woods Baptist Church. During his retirement, he served interim pastorates in several Charleston area Churches. He was an active member of the Charleston and South Carolina Baptist Association and Convention. He gave his life to the service of the Lord through ministry and will be remembered for his dedication and love of others. His life of faith was an example to all who knew him.  Among his many passions, he loved gardening and working in his yard. 

He is survived by his wife Angie Broad; daughter, Lynn Platts; sons, Van and Ray Broad and their spouses; three brothers; a sister; and several grandchildren. 

 The family will hold a private service.

Gifts and memorials may be made to the hospice or ministry of each individual’s choice.
