Obituary of Eddie Earl Jones

Eddie Earl Jones, 71, of Fountain Inn, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018. Born in Greenville County on June 26, 1946, he was the son of the late Rev. Theron R. and Evelyn S. Jones and the husband of Alice Thompson Jones. Mr. Jones served in the Army National Guard before starting work as a Field Engineer for NCR Corporation. He had a great sense of humor and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Eddie is survived by his daughter, Traci J. Griggs (Jack) of Easley; a granddaughter, Taylor M. Griggs of Easley; a sister, Brenda J. Mangham (Charlie) of Fountain Inn; a brother, Mark R. Jones (George Anne) of Fountain Inn; a niece, Stephanie Smith; nephews, Scott Smith, Will Jones, and Wesley Thompson; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The memorial service for Mr. Jones will be held at 4 o’clock on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, in the chapel at Fletcher Funeral Service, with Rev. Zac Terry officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.
