Miss Brooksie Emma King, 79, of Simpsonville, went to be with the Lord on May 19, 2018.

Miss King was a daughter of the late John B. and Nettie Mae King of Simpsonville. She was predeceased by her sisters, Miss Myron King and Bobbie Sue King Cox and by her brother-in-law John R. (Bob) Cox, all of Simpsonville.

Brooksie retired from a successful IT career in Civil Service with the US Army in Atlanta and was a member of Renovation Church in Simpsonville.

She was a loving aunt to her niece and nephews, Linda Cox Talbert (Ralph) of Lugoff, Alan Cox (Joy) of Fountain Inn, and Jimmy Cox (Sharon) of Greenville.  She thoroughly enjoyed sharing stories and visits with her six great nieces and nephews and three great-great nieces and nephews.

The family thanks her friends, family members and caregivers who all cared for her with such love and tenderness.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 22, at 2pm at Five Forks Baptist Church, 112 Batesville Road, Simpsonville. The family will receive friends before the service from 1-2pm.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
