Obituary of Fred Anthony Chapman
Fred Anthony Chapman, 85, husband to his late bride Louise “Judy” Evette Chapman, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 24, 2018.
Mr. Chapman was born in Pickens to the late Roy Chapman and Verona Mae Anthony Chapman. He retired from Alexco and was a member of Simpsonville First Baptist Church. He was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Surviving are a son, Steve McConnell and wife Karin; three daughters, Felicia Armes and husband William, Connie Hill, and Lee Granger and husband Tim; two sisters, Frances Campbell and Janie Taylor and husband Ed; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Morrison and husband Sean, Stephanie McConnell, Hailey Searcy and husband Tyler, Hannah Dillingham, Paul Dillingham, Gabriel Dillingham, and Emily Armes; and a great-grandson, Sawyer Morrison. He was predeceased by two brothers, Wayne Chapman and Parker Chapman.
Funeral services, with Military Honors, will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30-1:15 p.m. Family will be at their respective homes.
