Obituary of Patricia Laswell Bertsch

Patricia Lee Laswell Bertsch, 71, wife of Don Bertsch for 51 years, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 28, 2018.

 

Mrs. Bertsch was born in Richmond, KY to the late Edwin Preston Laswell and Viola Margaret Rader Laswell.  With her husband Don, they retired from a career spanning over 40 years as home builders in 2005.  She attended Reidville Road Methodist Church.  Pat enjoyed travel, golf, gardening and shopping; but her greatest joy was being “Grandma” to her grandkids.

 

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Greg Bertsch and wife Rosemary; two daughters, Debbie Staarmann and Dee Dee Bertsch; and six grandchildren, Alex Staarman, Grant Staarmann, Lillie Bertsch, Jennifer Bertsch, Eliza Bertsch and Charlie Bertsch.  She was predeceased by a brother, Glen Laswell.

 

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service.

 

A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 31st in the chapel of the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Danny Wiley.  Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park (3007 US Hwy 25, Hodges, SC 29653). 

 

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
