Dear Jan, I am so very sorry for your loss. Jerry was always a kind hearted guy and I benefitted greatly from his friendship at Hillcrest. Of course he did marry you early and broke many guys hearts but I forgive him of that. He was funny and I remember driving the school buses together. I lasted a short season as it was way too early in the morning for me but jer stuck it out with laughter.
Jerry's loss leaves a hole in the wood that can never be filled. I regret that I am unable to attend and be with you Wednesday. Phil

Is hard to put in to words the heart break I feel right now losing such a good person. Jerry was always there when ever I needed him if to just to ask a question. I went to my first NASCAR race because when He had tickets he couldn’t use he thought of me and my family. As a boss he was the best. As a husband and father Janice and the children were blessed Jerry had such a love for his family.. RIP Jerry you will be so missed .

Our heartfelt condolences to Jan, Amber and Graydon and the entire Thompson family. Jerry was a special guy who welcomed all into his heart - whether you were family, friends, colleagues, drivers or just someone he met out and about. I truly admired the way he conducted his business affairs on behalf of his employer - The Spinx Company. I am forever greatful to have met he and Jan and know I am a better man from the lessons he taught me about life. Play hard, work harder, love and respect those in your life and always, I mean always - have fun doing it. Nothing to do and all day to get there! Rest in Peace my brother - we love you!

David and I are so very shocked and saddened with Jerry's sudden passing. No words can express our sincere sorrow. But Jerry surely knew he was loved much by his family and so many others. It was obvious every time we were with you.
