Obituary of Harry Charles Howard, Jr

Harry Charles Howard, Jr., 88, widower of Martha Simon Howard, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018.

Mr. Howard was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio. He retired after 31 years as a master operator at National Gypsum Gold Bond Company in Niles Ohio. He was the past president of Union Local 1405, and a Boy Scout Leader for many years. He was a member and great supporter of the Liberty Basketball Boosters. He was part of the Girard Senior Citizens group for many years. After he retired from Gold Bond Company he drove a school bus for Trumbell County school and is remembered for mentoring children.

 

Surviving family members are daughter, Patricia Biederman and her husband Bob who reside in Simpsonville, SC; son, Jeffrey Scott Howard and his wife Nancy who live in Asheboro, NC, and his daughter-in-law, Joyce Howard who lives in

Avon Indiana; five grandchildren, Trisha Klotz, Timothy Howard, Daniel Biederman, Jessica Biederman, and Paul Coyle, Jr.; and five great-grandchildren, Ian Klotz, Cali Klotz, Skylar Howard, Noah Biederman and Hannah Biederman.

 

Harry was predeceased by parents Harry Charles Howard, Sr. and Lillian Wendell; three sisters, Jane Mitchell, Dorothy Zimmerman, and Mary Alice Johnston; two brothers, Jack Howard and William Howard and his oldest son, Larry Howard.

 

A memorial service will be held 3:30p.m. on Tuesday, July 10th at The Crossing at Five Forks, officiated by Rev. Ed Deese.
