Obituary of Thomas Gerald Hawley
Thomas “Tom” Gerald Hawley, 74, husband of Deborah “Debbie” Etter Hawley, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 22, 2018.
Mr. Hawley was born in Waterford, PA to the late Gerald Clayton Hawley and Clara Betty Kirkwood Hawley. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of First Baptist Simpsonville, where he co-taught the senior adult Sunday School Class. Tom was the founder of C.C.A. Medical. He enjoyed playing golf and woodworking in his retirement.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, is a daughter, Tyonnia Thackston; two sisters, Pat Owens and Lynda Gemeil; two grandchildren, Luke Polin and Justin Thackston and wife Kayla; six nephews, Bryan Owens, Doug Maxson, and Terry Maxson, Jerry Peele, Tim Desmond and Tom Desmond; and three nieces, Brenda Kinne, Cindy Gardner, and Susie Owens. He was predeceased by a sister, Carol Hight.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of First Baptist Simpsonville, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
